Material empathy

Exhibited in Northmodern (DK, 2016), London Design Fair (UK, 2016), Formland (DK, 2017).
The visual concept of material empathy aims to evoke a discussion how design could be seen as an actual correspondence before the final form-giving to an object as well as comment on the current functional aspects of designing a space for wellbeing.
The collection is a result of my research in 2 Danish hospitals (Rigshospital & Herlev hospital) and it consists of 5 tufted textiles focusing on body-hand-surface interaction.
